Our incenses OXY, RYO & XOR are basically a woodchip which has been submerged in perfumed oil and mixed with other natural ingredients such as resin, sandalwood essential oils, floral essential oils among others. These scented chips or powder must be burned to release its woody sweet smelling aroma.

Our Frankincense ROX is a natural resin from the Boswellia Sacra tree. The sap from this tree is allowed to harden into a gum resin for several days, and then scraped off in tear-shaped droplets. We source our organic frankincense directly from Oman, home to the finest and most expensive frankincense in the world. This too must be burnt on charcoal to release its rich natural essential oils that diffuse into the air from the smoke emitted.

The burning / heating is normally done by using a charcoal placed in a burner . In today's modern world, there are also other ways to burn incense, such as using the electric incense burner. Although that may be an option, many prefer the original and coal burning methods as they are able to produce the best fragrance.

Burning incense serves as a safer alternative to chemical air fresheners. The aroma has been seen to relieve stress and anxiety in cancer patients. It can also improve the sleep quality and lower systolic blood pressure.

We proudly source all our frankincense and incenses directly from the artisans in Oman who are experts in these traditional methods of Aromatherapy for generations.

We use only 100% natural and organic ingredients in all our incenses which are sustainably harvested. 

• For optimal fragrance diffusion, gradually keep adding incense on the burning charcoal every 4 minutes after clearing the burnt incense with tongs. Not only will you enjoy an immediate burst of fragrance, but the scent will consistently be stronger and more noticeable. Doing so also prevents buildup on the burning coal , allowing the incense to burn uninterruptedly

• We highly recommend mixing a piece of ROX frankincense with every other incense you use as this acts as a odor purifier and then the incense fills the purified air with a beautiful lasting scent.

• Another tip for spreading the fragrance throughout the house is to walk around with the incense burner throughout the house as the incense is burning leaving it in every room for at least 5 minutes while, gradually keep adding incense on the burning charcoal in every new space where you want the scent to linger.

• Place your Incense Burner in a strategic location in your home to maximize the effect of the fragrance. Place your Incense Burners in high-traffic areas like your main entryway or a frequently used hallway. You will enjoy its fragrance as you walk by and trail the scent behind you, carrying it into other rooms.

• Be sure to always place your Incense Burner on a stable surface where it cannot be knocked over. 

An incense burner can scent up to 10,000 square feet. 

However, in our best practices, we recommend placing our Incense Burner at multiple locations in the house while burning incense to spread the fragrance all around. Don't forget the bathrooms, our incenses are much known for making bathrooms smell like spas!

Our quick lighting charcoal, if lit properly, lasts for over 20 minutes at optimum heat. Within this time you must keep adding fresh incense on the burning charcoal every 4 minutes. The scent, after 20 minutes of continuous burning of our incenses, will last for over 24 hours in a room, giving you the feeling of walking into a spa every time you enter the room.

1. Place unlit self lighting charcoal in burner tray using tongs.
2. Use a torch lighter to ignite the self lighting charcoal. It will begin to sparkle.
3. Torch it for a few more seconds to ensure it is evenly lit.
4. Place desired amount of incense on charcoal using tongs.
5. Allow to burn and add more as needed. Mix them up to try your own blends!
6. Move from room to room to spread the fragrance all around!

No, in fact, it is scientifically proven that burning frankincense (resin from the Boswellia plant) activates poorly understood ion channels in the brain to alleviate anxiety or depression. If you have any further questions or concerns, we recommend you consult your physician.  

There is absolutely NO ANIMAL TESTING nor animal-derived products in any compound of by Oryx fragrances and products. There is also no beeswax, or any other product that relating to animals. Our fragrances are considered VEGAN.  

All fragrances by Oryx are considered to be unisex. The character of each perfume depends on
the story and the notes involved. We encourage you to follow your inspiration and blend our different fragrances together to create your own signature scent.
 

Although millions of people regularly use incenses without any negative effects, it is always possible that a particular fragrance might trigger a negative reaction in sensitive individuals. Individuals with known sensitivities to specific fragrances may want to avoid those scents. In addition, consumers should remember to burn all incenses in a well-ventilated area. Once your order has shipped from our facility, you will receive an email with tracking information. The tracking link in this email is provided by your courier (such as UPS, USPS, etc.), and it will show you a predicted shipping time as soon as your shipment leaves the courier's facility.

Orders placed before 11.00 AM EST are usually processed on the same day and shipped within 2~3 business days from the time the order is placed.

Orders placed on Saturday and Sunday will be processed the following Monday and shipped within 2~3 business days. Most carriers do not pick up or deliver on weekends.

We first recommend that you reach out to the specific package courier (ex. FedEx, UPS, etc.) to see if they have any information about your package. They are under contract to fulfill these orders accurately, so if they made a mistake, you can file a claim with them.  If you file a claim with the courier and your issue is still not resolved, please contact us and we will be happy to assist you further. 

If you are missing items in your order, we first recommend looking thoroughly through all the packaging.  Sometimes there are fragrances hiding under the foam in the box that the customer can miss. If you are still unable to locate your missing items, please reach out to our dedicated Customer Support Team via email and we will make it right. 

Mistakes happen, and we would be happy to offer a free return of any items you received in error or by mistake. Please reach out to us to get a free return label.
